Finding inspiration from both the natural and the man made, La Rovere deftly interprets the beauty of flowers, trees and water in his garden landscapes, done in both oil and acrylic. His talent extends itself to sensitive renditions of architecture and the urban scene, executed in pen and ink and watercolor. His love for old buildings and landmarks sprang from his sketching in pencil on the street as a teenager. This led to the more refined technique that we see today.

Richard La Rovere firmly believes that his art is the result of practice and hard work and that people are not just born with this skill. It is to this end that he labors daily to perfect his already unique style.
