Creating Your Own Pets

Mondays: 1-2 pm, Ages 6-10

Josh Bacher will lead you in creating puppets from stuff you have lying around your house. From an old toilet paper tube, a pair of socks, an egg carton, or even your grandmother, creating puppets from scratch and making up dialogue for them to say is going to be fun!

Kids Painting

Reader's Theather - Munchkins, White Rabbits, & Lost Boys!

Tuesdays: 1-2 pm, Ages 7-10

Josh Bacher will select a classic children's book such as The Wizard of Oz, Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, Harry Potter, etc. and assign parts to each participant, like characters in a play. We will then read the story in role as the characters, with lots of expression!  Reading has never been so much fun! (Costumes optional)

Mystery and Horror Anyone?

Wednesdays: 1-2 pm, Ages 8-12

Each week we will be assigned a certain genre of story. (Mystery, Comedy, Drama, Horror, etc.) We will spend a short time writing, using creativity and imagination. Then we’ll listen to and edit our work together. It is going to be a lot of fun, and some low-stress work, and it will help get you ready to write for the coming school year!

Learn how to create a comic strip like you see in the funny pages! Think Garfield, Beetle Bailey, Blondie, and Hagar. What makes them interesting and funny? Josh Bacher will help guide you to think up a few characters, figure out a plot, and write and draw your own funny page each week!

Star Wars Crafts

Fridays: 1-2 pm, Ages 7-12

The Force is with you when Josh Bacher teaches you how to create fun Star Wars items from stuff you have lying around the house! Turn an old toilet paper tube into a droid!  Turn a pair of socks into Yoda! Turn an egg carton into storm troopers! Turn a family member into Jabba the Hutt! This will keep you from turning to the dark side this summer!
