After going on several food tours across the US and around the globe, Alessia realized there was an opportunity to bring food tours to New Jersey, specifically Jersey City, where she's lived for the past 8 years. Since 2013, her mission is to show people they don't need to venture into NYC to find talented chefs, delicious food or experiences like a food tour! So what exactly is Beyond the Plate Food Tours all about? Pick a city (Jersey City, Somerville, Red Bank, or Princeton), pick a date from the calendar, meet us at the designated starting restaurant location and leave the rest to BTP. All food is included along with select drink pairings, and you'll have chances to meet chefs and owners, learn more about the city, and they're all led by local expert tour guides.
